APPLICATION DEADLINE:  May 1st for the Fall School Year Scholarship. If May 1st falls on a weekend or Holiday, the applications will be accepted the next Business day.

This scholarship was established by the Gulf Coast local section of AIHA to support the mission of the American Industrial Hygiene Association, which is to promote, protect, and enhance industrial hygienists and other occupational health, safety and environmental professionals in their efforts to improve the health and well-being of workers, the community, and the environment.  Financially assisting industrial hygiene students in their career path supports this mission. Scholarships are awarded for one semester in the fall.  The minimum scholarship amount is $2,000 awarded to the student through their university. The GCS-AIHA Scholarship Committee will meet and review applications for completeness, merit and need. The Greater Houston Community Foundation manages the distribution of the award following the student recipient’s university scholarship procedures.
