M.Lastie & Associates, LLC. Safety and Health Consultants are looking for experienced Industrial Hygienists to perform baseline monitoring for several projects in Lake Charles, LA and Richmond, CA.. The successful candidates will be working under the direction of a CIH. The work is on a contract basis and not full time. Depending upon the experience level of the IH, the hourly rate will be $50-$75 / hour plus expenses.

Much of the work will be focused on Safety. This is an excellent growing company that makes industrial equipment that is installed at their clients locations world-wide. You will have one administrative report and be responsible for the ongoing development, implementation, integrity, and effectiveness of the safety, health, and environmental functions. This position will work closely with staff at all levels to maintain a safe working environment and to develop a culture committed to safety as a value which motivates personal behavior - resulting in injury-free and environmentally conscious performance. You need to be a skilled hands-on leader capable of inspiring and motivating all levels of management, employees, field personnel, and subcontractors.
What they are looking for:
Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent field of study
10+ years experience as a hands on experience in Safety, Health & Environmental work in a job shop / custom industrial equipment operation
A quantifiable record of exceptional safety leadership, with measurable results
Ability to lead the company to achieve "Best in Class" status
Successful experience in developing and delivering safety training in group settings
Effective working knowledge and application of OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, and EPA regulations
An effective record of leading and communicating a safety vision for an organization and achieving measurable success in the pursuit of the vision.
